Weaving Sampler

An exploration of weaving patterns and techniques using 60-70 inches of length woven on a 4-harness floor loom. Choice of material was left up to each individual artist.

Process

  • Plain weave

    Plain weave with warp colors - green and gray

  • Plain weave and twill while exploring different size yarns

  • Sumac knots with orange and pink wool roving as well as inlay designs above and below

  • Different lace techniques including leno and wrap

  • Close-up on a zig-zag twill pattern

  • Twill with beads and loops below
